Spooky Trail 4H Fright Night Gallery...

I just couldn't resist to put a swamp in the middle of our cemetery. 2006	Some of our guys that made this project happen! 2006	We made some cardboard templates to paint all the signs we had in 2006.

This is about 1/2 of the pumpkins that we had to carve in 2006.	I was able to come by some short 2x4's at work that were destined to be thrown away. We started by building boxes to assemble into the shape we wanted for the entrance. 2007	Here we have the frame done. I stayed up all night prior to this getting all the parts cut to length in my wood shop. 2007.

After we got the entrance in place I added a gate I found from down below in the barn we disassembled. It was a perfect fit. 2007.	Here's a shot of our entrance from the back at night. I had our stereo system running with flood lights and it turned out great. 2007	On our last night of the season we had the most spooks. 2007.

Mark put a lot of time into building it after I gave him a rough idea of the shape and look we were looking for. 2007.	A lot of hard work payed off for this project. I came up with a name and my mom painted the sign. Great job Mark! 2007	We got our pumpkins from a local source. Here we are in the patch picking a wagon load. 2007.

We filled up our wagon with about 300 or so pumpkins. Our little helper shown here was hard at work. Nice ones too! 2007.	Here's my son Josh. He had a blast out there in the grave yard all by himself in the grave, complete with a really nice wooden casket. There were other spooks nearby in the cage and the witch house. Josh is only 9 years old. Thats about the age when I started out. 2007.	The other half of our cemetary had a ghost flying through it. We were fortunate enough to get some old picket fence from our neighbors Black Pine Zoo. They had some fence donated to them and they didn't want the wooden stuff with moss growing on it. Perfect for our cemetary! 2007.

A lot of work went into our old mine. We lucked out and had a guy bring over his mini excavator to do some digging at the other end. I wish I had some photos of that. Thanks John! 2007	On Halloween night I dressed up Bucky and set him out for the Trick-or-Treaters! We ended up getting about 40 kids at our house. The rest of our street was dead! Thanks Bucky! 2007	A closeup shot of Bucky's Lantern. The red glow fluid in the bottle was so bright that it overexposed the shot and looked more yellow or orange. But it was a deep red believe me. 2007.
